Widow's Empowerment

Supporting Widows, Spreading Hope

In our commitment to uplifting vulnerable women in society, Barods Empowerment Foundation has donated essential food items to over 100 widows in Ogun State.

This initiative, part of our Ramadan/Easter Widow’s Welfare Program, was designed to bring relief and empowerment to widows during these sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent. Because no widow should feel alone or forgotten, we stand together in love and support.

Bridging the Healthcare Gap for Widows: BEF’s Commitment to Wellness

Access to quality healthcare remains a major challenge in Nigeria, and for many widows, even basic medical treatment is out of reach. During our interactions, we discovered that the cost of essential medications like malaria and typhoid drugs—ranging from ₦15,000 to ₦20,000—places a heavy burden on them.

To ease this struggle, Barods Empowerment Foundation (BEF) has reached out to 100 widows, providing them with free medical cards in partnership with Nimble Health. These cards grant access to essential healthcare services at designated pharmacies, including free monthly diagnostic tests to monitor their well-being. Widows can now receive treatment for common illnesses such as fever, cough, stomach upsets, allergies, and high blood pressure—at no cost.

At BEF, we believe that no one should be left behind when it comes to healthcare. This initiative is another step toward empowering vulnerable communities and ensuring a healthier future.
